Ganesh Chaturthi
गणेश चतुर्थी
“Ganpati Bappa's arrival — remove obstacles, invite abundance”
Significance of Ganesh Chaturthi
Ganesh Chaturthi celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha — the elephant-headed son of Shiva and Parvati, the remover of obstacles, the lord of new beginnings, and the deity invoked at the start of every prayer, ritual, and undertaking. It falls on the fourth day (Chaturthi) of Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha and is celebrated most elaborately in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Goa, though venerated across all of India.
