Akshaya Tritiya
अक्षय तृतीया
“The day all acts of seva yield inexhaustible merit”
Significance of Akshaya Tritiya
Akshaya Tritiya falls on the third day (Tritiya) of the bright fortnight (Shukla Paksha) of Vaishakha month. The word akshaya means "that which never diminishes" — and tradition holds that any virtuous act performed on this day — daan, seva, prayer, or pilgrimage — generates merit that multiplies endlessly across lifetimes.
